Aussie, Aussie, Aussie!

AW2’s Crating and Packaging division faced an enormous challenge recently. Six large heat exchangers [up to 27 feet long and 82,000 lbs in weight] needed to be fully export-packaged within a 14-day window for shipment to Australia. Due to the critical timeline, the crates were shipped on a dedicated vessel.

AW2 worked in conjunction with both the manufacturer and end user to put a production plan in place. The dedicated vessel was anchored at the Port of Long Beach, CA, and AW2’s challenge was to pack, crate, and then transport all six units to a strict “cannot miss” timeline.

Our dedicated, veteran crew worked 14 days straight to ensure that the tight timeline was met and that these “giants” were on the high seas, Australia bound!
